Hi there, I'm Paulina, a Clinical Social Worker and Registered Clinical Counsellor in Port Moody with over 20 years of experience supporting adults, youth, and families across the Tri-Cities and Greater Vancouver area.
My practice integrates evidence-based therapy with mindfulness, grounding, and psychodynamic approaches to support emotional balance and personal growth.
I hold a Bachelor and Master of Social Work (BSW, MSW) from the University of Victoria and am:
Licensed by the BC College of Social Workers (RSW #11125)
Licensed with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC #16279)
A Registered Crime Victim Assistance Provider (CVAP)
A Registered Mental Health Provider for the Short-Term Crisis Intervention Program (STCIP) with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA)
An insured therapist who accepts third-party reimbursement through most major benefits programs, including Pacific Blue Cross, Great-West Life, and Green Shield Canada
My therapeutic work draws from multiple modalities; combining psychodynamic therapy with brief, goal-focused approaches depending on each client’s needs. I have completed extensive training in:
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Trauma-Informed Practice
Motivational Interviewing
Mindfulness and grounding techniques
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and adjustment challenges, while maintaining a deep appreciation for cultural context and community connection.
With over 20 years of experience working with Indigenous clients and diverse populations in both public and private practice, I brings cultural awareness and authenticity to my work. I am closely connected to the Ojibway community (Peguis of Manitoba) through my family and have a genuine passion for working with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit clients.
I am also a mother of a teenager with Indigenous heritage, and understand firsthand the importance of empathy, resilience, and belonging in the healing journey. I am happily accepting new clients in the Tri-cities (Port. Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam & Maple Ridge) and would be honoured to be a part of your healing journey.
