Service Description
If you are eligible for FNHA coverage, this session is for you. We provide culturally aware and trauma-informed care in collaboration with FNHA, ensuring accessible support for mental health and healing in your community.
Cancellation Policy
This form outlines how counselling works at Calm Mind Counselling and your rights as a client. Please review carefully before proceeding with your first session. About Your Counsellor: Paulina holds BSW and MSW degrees from the University of Victoria and has over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults in community mental-health settings. Her approach is integrative, drawing from person-centred, CBT, DBT, Bowen family systems, and solution-focused therapies. Nature of Counselling: Sessions provide a safe, confidential space to explore personal challenges, relationships, emotions, and goals. Counselling involves active participation; both during and between sessions. While therapy may bring up difficult emotions, it can also lead to greater clarity, resilience, and improved relationships. Confidentiality: Everything shared in session is confidential except when required by law: risk of harm to self or others, disclosure of child abuse, or a court subpoena. Information may be shared only with your written consent. Client Rights: You may ask questions, decline recommendations, or end counselling at any time. If concerns cannot be resolved directly, you may contact the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors or the BC Association of Social Workers. Fees and Payments: - 50-minute Counselling: $160 - 75-minute Counselling: $240 Service types: - Individual Counselling - Teen Counselling - Couples Counselling - Family Counselling - FNHA Consultation - CVAP Consultation Payment due at session end by e-transfer, cash, debit/credit, or direct insurance billing. Cancellations: Please provide 48 hours’ notice. Missed or late-cancelled sessions are billed in full unless due to emergency. Emergencies: If in crisis, contact 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call the BC Crisis Line at (604) 951-8855. By booking, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this information, and consent to participate in counselling with Calm Mind Counselling.
